Criterium Racing at Murarrie as from 4 DECEMBER 2010.
WOMEN’ S RACES
To better accommodate the current needs of women riders as reflected in the reduced number of competitors that has existed for some time, women’s only racing is being discontinued.
Women will be incorporated into the general field.
The Club will adopt the CQ gradings to determine the appropriate division for individual women riders. This will mean that A grade women will race with B or B1 men (whichever they choose), B grade women with C men and C & D grade women with D men. (Novice girls & women may be placed in E grade.)
Prize money will be awarded to the 1st woman in each event and may be extended depending on the number of women competitors.
EVENT TIMES
B1 race will now start at 6.45 am (sign on at 6.25am).
Start and sign-on times for other grades will remain the same - A grade 6.45am, B&C - 7.40am and D&E - 8.25am.
D grade will race for 35 mins plus 3 laps & E grade will race for 30 mins plus 3 laps which better reflects masters and juniors prescribed distances.
